Performance NEW

The strategy, in plain words, and its equity

Two Performance tabs to understand a strategy without reading its code: Strategy, which tells it in sentences, and Equity, rebuilt with five views.

🗣️ Strategy tab

The second tab, whenever Performance has the strategy (from Genesis, the Library, the Portfolio, the Lab…):

  • · When it buys / when it sells short: each condition with its code and a sentence («An NR4 bar occurred 10 sessions ago…»), its family and a «What is it?» with the indicator description. If it mixes long and short groups, two cards and the position reversal.
  • · The entry order explained (at market, Stop or Limit, and what happens if price does not get there).
  • · When it exits: target and stop in their unit and converted to points, ticks and dollars at today’s price, with «usually X ticks (min–max)» from its real trades; trailing, break-even, time, session close, exit signal, trading hours and daily limits. A drawing of target, entry and stop.
  • · A real example: its last trade, told.
  • · Worth knowing: automatic notes — the minimum win rate not to lose (and whether it risks more than it aims for), time in the market versus buy and hold, what a stop weighs today against the capital, whether it holds up out of sample, too few trades.

Hand-written formulas show their code (except Count(pattern = 1, N), which is told). In Spanish and English.

📈 Equity: five views
  • · By date: the curve with the drawdown (in red) underneath.
  • · Detailed: bar by bar, with the open trade valued at every close. You see the dips inside each trade; the closed-trades curve stays underneath, faint. With 1-minute data it is grouped into about 3,000 stretches keeping the worst of each.
  • · By trade: the axis is the trade number.
  • · Each trade: one green or red bar per trade, with the average.
  • · Max & min: how far each trade went in favour and against.

$ / % button (on the test capital). Hovering shows a card with the date, equity, return, the drawdown at that moment and buy and hold. The worst drawdown is marked with a band and its label (amount, duration and dates). «Without the N best» and the in/out-of-sample split are still there.
