This policy describes what data AniSoft processes and why, both on this website and in the AniQuant program. It is written by looking at what the software actually does, rather than copied from a template.
aniquant.com is a static site. It uses no tracking cookies and profiles nobody. Hosting is by Cloudflare, which logs technical access data (IP address, browser) for security and in order to serve the pages — processing based on the legitimate interest of keeping the service running.
To know how many people visit us, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify visitors. When you click «Download», we also record the date, the language of the page and the country (as reported by Cloudflare), without the IP address: just to count downloads.
If you visit from a phone or a Mac, the download page offers to email you the link so you can open it on your PC. We use your address only for that email and do not keep it, unless you tick the box to hear about new releases: then we keep it for that purpose (at most one email a month) until you unsubscribe, by replying to any of those emails or writing to [email protected]. The legal basis is your consent.
This is the first thing worth knowing: your market data, your strategies and your results never leave your computer. AniQuant works locally against your own files. There is no telemetry, nothing about your research is transmitted, and nobody sees your backtests.
In order to issue and maintain your licence, the AniSoft Key Server processes:
Legal basis: performance of the licence contract. Without this data no working key can be issued.
When AniQuant starts and a connection is available, it sends the Key Server the machine serial number, the licence key it holds (which contains the name and email above) and the program version. The server answers with the renewed licence, whether it is still valid, and whether a new version is available. Routine checks are not recorded; only unusual outcomes are (a revoked licence, a released computer). Nothing about your work is sent. Legal basis: performance of the licence contract, which includes the updates and licence terms described in the EULA.
The free trial is anchored on the server to prevent artificial resets of the counter. The machine serial number and the start date are recorded. Nothing else.
AniQuant connects to outside services, and it is worth being clear about who processes what:
Licence data is kept for as long as the licence is valid and thereafter for the statutory tax and contractual limitation periods. Trial records expire with the evaluation period itself.
You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to support@aniquant.com. Note that erasing the licence data disables the licence, because that data is what allows it to be issued and renewed.
If you believe your request has not been handled properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
If this policy changes, it will be published here with its date. Significant changes will be notified by email to licence holders.
