Ani, your guide
Ani is an assistant who walks you through AniQuant: she points at what to click at each moment and explains what you see. She starts by herself the first time you open the program on trial, and you can call her whenever you like from the Help menu.
Getting started: your first analysis in about 10 minutes
Help → Getting started guide (Ani). You pick your working data (to begin, the sample daily @ES), open AQ Genesis, give it a time limit (the Set 3 minutes button is enough to see how it works) and press START. While it searches, Ani tells you what the wall is, why the discarded ones fall and what the Log records. When it finishes she takes you to the Winners’ Room, opens a strategy in Performance and explains the summary, the equity and the strategy in plain words.
It often happens with just 3 minutes (and on trial the top 5 are hidden). Ani then uses one of the Best discards or offers to Search again with 10 minutes.
Skip the guide or the ✕ close it; reopen it from Help. If you close a window halfway, Ani picks the step up again when you reopen it.
Validate and export: from the Winners’ Room to your platform
Help → Validate and export (Ani), or the button at the end of the getting-started guide. Right-click a strategy in the Winners’ Room to open its Walk-Forward; Ani explains the diagram, the score and Survival. If the study can’t run (for example, because your data is shorter than each cycle needs), she goes back to the Run step and points at the button that sets IS and OOS months that fit. Then you go back to Genesis, pick the platform in the Export group and finish in the code window: copy, save and, in MetaTrader 5, TradeStation and NinjaTrader, protect it for sale.
How she behaves
She doesn’t darken the window: just a pulsing blue ring around what you need to click.
Drag her by the header or the character. When the step changes she places herself again, and she moves aside if a menu or notice opens on top.
With the speaker in her header she reads each step aloud with the Windows voices. It comes switched off.
AniQuant can be tried free for 14 days, with every module and no card. If you have the book, 30.
